Town will feel they deserved at least a point from a rip-roaring thriller which ended 4-3 to Forest. The Blues were 2-0 up, then 3-2 down before equalising and looked the likelier side to take the three points until former loanee Marlon Harewood popped up with a 74th minute winner.

Town continued the revival in dramatic style as Sunderland were thrashed 5-0 at Portman Road this afternoon.

Gary Croft and Manu Thetis are both out to prove their fitness in today'd reserve game at Oxford United. Crof has recovered far more quickly than expected from his gash sustained against Huddersfield whilst Manu is back after an ankle injury cut short the first game of his return from a hamstring problem. If they do well both could find themselves in the side for Saturday's game with Portsmouth. Croft in place of loanee Michael Clegg and Thetis in place of the injured John McGreal. Jim Magilton is back in the Northern Ireland squad after more than a year out of the picture. Previous manager Lawrie McMenemy had left out Magilton along with Gerry Taggart and former Town man Danny Sonner.
